2016 Golf Tournament

The inABLE Golf Tournament will place on November 4th at the Vetlab Golf Club Kabete in Kenya.

This annual charity event raises essential funds to support our assistive technology instructors, who provide vital hands-on training to the blind and visually impaired children.

March 2015 AccessKenya MoU Signing

 inABLE, AccessKenya Group and Computers for Schools Kenya entered into a partnership by signing an MoU at the Norfolk Hotel in Nairobi on March 10, 2015. This event was attended by AccessKenya Deputy Managing Director, Chris Senanu, Alfred Otieno who is the CSR Manager Access Kenya, Tim Kajume inABLE, George Siso inABLE Country Coordinator , Dr.Musili from CFSK, Mr. Jotham Makokha who is the Headmaster Thika Primary for the blind and different media houses.  Read related blog article: AccessKenya MoU Brings Broadband Internet Access

 

February 2015 Disability Day Event

inABLE participated in a DISABILITY DAY event, organized by the Siaya County, at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) in Bondo Town Kenya this past Saturday, February 14th. 2014 Golf Tournament

The 2014 inABLE Golf Tournament took place on October 31th at the Thika Sports Club in Kenya. This annual event was successful again due to the caring players, guests, organizers and sponsors. The charitable funds raised at this year’s golf tournament will fund our assistive technology instructors, who provide vital hands-on training to the blind and visually impaired children. 2013 M-Enabling Global Summit

The 2013 M-Enabling Global Summit is the only program exclusively dedicated to promoting mobile accessible and assistive applications and services for senior citizens and users of all abilities, a market of more than one billion users worldwide, with considerable untapped potential. 

What is unique about the M-Enabling Summit?

The Summit is the only gathering of U.S. and international leaders of the global ecosystem supporting accessible and assistive mobile solutions. At the Summit they share experiences on how to best leverage the latest mobile operating systems, handset and tablet technologies, creating life changing applications and services for seniors and users of all abilities. 

The second edition of the M-Enabling Summit in 2013 is expected to draw more than 600 participants from at least 40 countries. Convening in Washington, D.C., the M-Enabling Summit is organized in cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), ensuring substantial participation for leading international mobile service providers, policy makers, apps developers and manufacturers.

Kenya Reading Drive at Kairi Library

Students at Kenya Reading Drive at Kairi LibraryOver 150 kids took part in a Kenya reading drive organized by ORS librarian, Naomi. Participating students borrowed books and wrote short essay summarizing what they learned. The top readers in three age groups were announced at a celebration event sponsored by inABLE.

2012 inABLE Charity Golf Tournament

inABLE is proud to present our annual charity golf tournament - Teeing it Up for Computer Labs for the Blind. Mr. Mugo Kibati, Director-General of the Kenya Vision 2030, will be the Chief Guest of our event. Bring out your driver in support of the vast potential within our nation’s blind and visually impaired students!

We would also like to invite you to our Prize Giving Ceremony and dinner to be held at 7 PM in the clubhouse. Take advantage of the relaxed atmosphere and opportunity to socialize with Mr. Kibati and other inABLE supporters. And most importantly, we welcome you to enjoy yourself while appreciating the impact that your generosity will have on the future of Kenya’s aspiring blind and visually impaired youth.

Safari Texas Charity Golf Tournament

Texas Golf

The Safari Texas Golf Club hosted a Teeing It Up for Great Cause  benefit Mug tournament at the Quail Valley Golf Club-Eldorado.  Participating golf club members and enthusiastic supporters came together to golf, socialize, and raise funds to support inABLE.

USA Party with a Purpose

inABLE White PartyinABLE hosts an annual fundraising event. In 2011, guests were encouraged to dress in white at the fun White Party held in Atlanta, Georgia. Guests paid to “party with a purpose”. The money raised support teacher computer training and the Our Reading Space library program.
