About Us
inABLE.org is a nonprofit organization based in Nairobi, Kenya, and Washington, DC, with a mission to empower Persons With Disabilities through technology.
Over the last decade, inABLE has set up eight computer assistive technology labs at special schools for the blind and visually impaired across Kenya and enrolled more than 12,000 students.
Additionally, to ensure everyone has access to information on the Internet, inABLE collaborates with partners on training, evaluation, research, advocacy, and policy projects related to digital accessibility, hosts the Inclusive Design Africa webinar series, and organizes the annual Inclusive Africa Conference.
In 2022, inABLE led the development of Kenya standard KS 2952: Accessibility ― ICT Products and Services. A first in Africa!
