Job Description

This Request for Proposal (RFP) document is intended to lead to the identification of a vendor that demonstrates having sufficient capacity and experience in provision of entertainment as a DJ during the Inclusive Africa Conference.

About inABLE 

inABLE.org is a nonprofit organization based in Kenya with a mission to empower persons with disabilities in Africa through assistive technology. Over the last four years, inable has hosted the Annual Inclusive Africa Conference that has created a platform to promote the advancement of digital accessibility and assistive technology for persons with disabilities in Africa. This year we are hosting the 5th Inclusive Africa Conference that will take place on May 14th-16th2024 in Nairobi Kenya. This is a hybrid event that aims to host 300 delegates in-person and over 2,000 delegates livestreaming from across the globe.  

Task Description

This Request for Proposal (RFP) document is intended to lead to the identification of a vendor that demonstrates having sufficient capacity and experience in provision of entertainment as a DJ during the Inclusive Africa Conference. inABLE is therefore soliciting from interested companies/individuals a request for proposal clearly showing the following:  

  1. A company/individual profile detailing the years of experience in providing music entertainment as a DJ. 
  2. Approval or License from relevant authorities to offer music entertainment as a DJ. (Provide evidence of compliance with statutory requirements, certification and all other relevant licenses).  
  3. Current list of clients and partners where similar services have been provided. Provide the name of the client, scope of the contract, number of events performed in. (at least 5 clients)  
  4. Provide any other additional information that inABLE should be aware of.
  5. We encourage Persons with Disabilities to apply for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  1. The DJ will provide music entertainment at the Gala Dinner on 16th May 2024 from 6 pm – 9 pm, EAT.
  2. The DJ will also have a short 30-minute session as the guests settle in before the conference officially starts on 14th May 2024.
